WHAT IS A STEM CELL?
Q: What is a Stem Cell?
A: The human body is made up of over a hundred trillion cells. Different types with different roles. For example, a blood cell is composed differently than a liver cell and plays a different role in helping the body function. Simply put, a Stem Cell is a cell not yet in its mature form and one that has not yet been assigned a specific role. This means that it has the potential to grow into any cell the body needs depending on the surrounding environment. When stem cells are injected into the body they mirror the local cells and develop into healthier versions of those cells.
